A Metahuman is a Human that has mutated beyond acceptable genetic standards and has become considered something else. While many forms of metahuman are undefined or undiscovered, the handful that are well-documented create a large minority in the culture of New Ireland and are frequently exterminated or thrown out of cities. To this day, only smaller communities are openly welcoming to metahumans other than Wizards.
The exact reasons for mutations may vary, some people will be turned via an infection, others are borth with these mutations, and others still will actively seek out methods to strip themselves of human features.
